GDC:About
From GDC
The Game Development Club(GDC) is a club that focuses on facilitating a creative, fun and open environment for game development enthusiasts within the South Australia. The club was formed on Friday 7th of Febuary 2009 and was formed under the Adelaide University Union(AUU) Clubs Association. GDC aims to create an open community of passionate enthusiasts that share interests in the many fields that contribute to computer and video game development. GDC is open to everyone, not just students of the University of Adelaide but under AUU rules the club membership must be comprised of at least 50% Adelaide University Students.
The club intends to run workshops, lectures and development related projects throughout the year. It is hoped that these activities will help improve the connections between people from different game related disciplines as well as the GDC community at large. As of posting these activities are still being planned so keep your eyes for news.
The GDC website exists as a resource for both members and non-members that provides information about upcoming events, club business, project updates and any club related news.
